More than 4.2 million Floridians have already cast ballots in the 2026 midterm election, FOX 13 News reported, citing the University of Florida Election Lab's latest tally. About 2.5 million people have voted in person during early voting and another 1.8 million have returned vote-by-mail ballots — together roughly 31 percent of Florida's approximately 13.7 million registered voters, four days before Election Day.

The Election Lab tally, as reported by FOX 13, shows registered Republicans accounting for 40.4 percent of the ballots cast so far, registered Democrats 38.6 percent, and voters with no party or a minor party the remaining 21.1 percent. Those are registration shares, not results: party registration does not show how anyone voted, and Florida has nearly 4 million voters registered with no party affiliation or an alternative party, alongside a Republican registration advantage of about 1.5 million voters over Democrats.

Florida's mandatory early-voting period runs through Saturday, October 31, with some counties — FOX 13 named Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota — offering early voting through November 1; Central Florida's Orange and Seminole Counties also run through November 1. Voters who still hold a mail ballot should not mail it now: ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Election Day, a postmark is not sufficient, and ballots can be returned in person at the elections office or at early-voting sites during polling hours. On Election Day, polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, voters must use their assigned precinct, and anyone in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
