John Washington III Says It Is Time to Question the Entire System Both Parties Run (Orlando Watch News)

John Washington III is asking Americans to question the system itself, not just the party in power. "THIS POLITICAL SYSTEM IS A JOKE! IT'S TIME TO QUESTION THE ENTIRE SYSTEM!" he wrote, saying he has serious questions for the American people, the Democratic Party, the Republican Party and every government official in the country. He asked how long Americans will allow a political system to control their lives, exercise power over them and take their hard-earned money without questioning how that power is being used.

John Washington III argued that the two parties run the same machinery. "BOTH PARTIES OPERATE UNDER THE SAME POLITICAL SYSTEM!" he wrote, noting that both parties participate in passing laws, collecting taxes, creating regulations and exercising governmental authority over the American people. If both parties are supposed to be fighting for the people, he asked, why do so many Americans feel they are the ones being taken advantage of — and why is the argument always about Democrats and Republicans instead of the system both operate under? "WHO IS REALLY BENEFITING? WHO IS REALLY BEING REPRESENTED? AND WHO IS ACTUALLY HOLDING THESE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE?" he wrote.

John Washington III closed the stored portion of his statement on election promises. Every election season, he wrote, politicians promise to fight for the people, protect their rights, lower their taxes and change the system — and he asked where the change, the accountability and the fight are after they are elected, and why the system keeps operating the same way regardless of which party holds office. He also stated plainly: "I AM A MEMBER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!" — and said that does not mean he will pretend everything the Democratic Party does is right.
