Orlando Man Charged Over Alleged Online Threat Against a New Jewish Community in Florida, FDLE Says
A 31-year-old Orlando man was arrested by FDLE agents and Orange County deputies after allegedly posting photos of a Glades County residential community and a firearm with threatening statements, the state agency said.

An Orlando man has been arrested and charged over alleged social-media threats against a newly established Jewish residential community in Florida, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The FDLE said the investigation into 31-year-old Orlando resident Jerry Sneed began earlier in October, after agents in Fort Myers received information about threatening social-media posts.
Sneed allegedly posted photos of the Glades County residential community and a firearm along with threatening statements, according to the FDLE account of the case. After the posts were reported, investigators obtained an arrest warrant, and Sneed was taken into custody by the FDLE and the Orange County Sheriff's Office. During the arrest, he was found in possession of the firearm pictured in the posts, the agency said.
According to the FDLE, Sneed has been charged with written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, and with unlawful use of a two-way communication device. The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court. The FDLE said its investigation remains active. A report on the case said the community was established in October and is expected to include around 1,300 housing units.
