SeaWorld Orlando Confirms SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep Will Open in 2027, Not 2026 (Orlando Watch News)

Orlando's 2027 attraction lineup has a confirmed headliner. SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep will open at SeaWorld Orlando in 2027, the park confirmed to Attractions Magazine, moving the suspended dark ride beyond its originally announced 2026 opening window. "We are saying 2027," a SeaWorld representative told the magazine. A specific opening date has not been announced, and the park's current attraction page lists the opening only as coming soon — the ride will, in the page's words, "surface soon."

SeaWorld announced SeaQuest on September 17, 2025. The attraction will be the park's first suspended dark ride, built in partnership with Vekoma Rides, with a ride system the park describes as a world's first of its kind: vehicles that glide, swing and rotate through glowing undersea environments on a family expedition story, ending in a finale launch that celebrates the ocean's resilience and beauty. It will open in a newly expanded area of the park, behind Expedition Odyssey.

The new year is already showing up in the park's own sales pitch: SeaQuest is mentioned on SeaWorld's "10 reasons to get the 2027 Fun Card" page. For Orlando's tourism corridor, the shift moves one of 2026's expected openings into a 2027 season that is stacking up across the market, with major additions also coming at Disney and Universal properties.
