Orlando City Council Meets Today at 2 P.M. — and the Window to Speak on the Consent Agenda Opens at the 1 P.M. Agenda Review
The Council's regular Monday meeting falls on November 2: Agenda Review at 1 p.m., the meeting itself at 2 p.m. in Council Chambers, speak requests due by 9 a.m., and viewing in person, on Zoom or at orlando.gov/watchonline.

City Hall's week starts this afternoon. The Orlando City Council holds its regularly scheduled meeting today, Monday, November 2, at 2 p.m. in Council Chambers, preceded by Agenda Review at 1 p.m. The City's agenda preview for today's meeting was published last week, and the official agenda was released on October 30 — so residents going in know the order of business before the gavel falls.
The mechanics matter for anyone who wants to be heard. Agenda Review, at 1 p.m., is the only designated time for public input on the Consent Agenda — items A through L and items 4 through 6 — and a speaker may speak once while addressing remarks to any or all of those items. Requests to speak must be submitted by 9 a.m. on the day of the meeting, which for today's session means this morning. Agenda Review itself is not live-streamed: to follow it, you attend in person.
The 2 p.m. meeting is easier to watch from anywhere — in person, virtually via Zoom, streamed on the City's website at orlando.gov/watchonline, and carried on the City's listed television channels after 4 p.m. The Council taking the dais is the Mayor, elected at-large, and the six City Commissioners elected from their districts. What they decide today will be reported when they decide it; this morning, the news is the open door.
