Weekend Traffic Roundup: I-95 Night Paving in Brevard and S.R. A1A Lane Closures Run Through November 6
FDOT's Central Florida listings put alternating lane closures on northbound I-95 from Palm Bay Road to Fiske Boulevard on Sunday through Thursday nights, and daytime single-lane work on S.R. A1A in Volusia County through Friday.

The heaviest overnight work in FDOT's Central Florida listings sits on Interstate 95 in Brevard County. From Sunday, November 1 through Thursday, November 5, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists can expect alternating single- and double-lane closures on the inside and middle lanes of northbound I-95 from County Road 516 (Palm Bay Road) to north of Fiske Boulevard, plus the outside lane of northbound I-95 near State Road 514 (Malabar Road). FDOT says the closures are needed for paving.
Daytime work runs on State Road A1A in Volusia County. From Friday, October 30 to Friday, November 6, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., flagging operations are in place on northbound and southbound A1A north of Granada Boulevard for curb and gutter, sidewalk and paving work, and single-lane closures run on A1A from East International Speedway Boulevard to Milsap Road for sidewalk, curb, drainage and signal work. Southbound A1A from Sunny Beach Drive to north of Roberta Road also carries intermittent single-lane closures with flagging from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday, November 1, for shoulder work and paving.
FDOT's standing note on every listing applies to the whole roundup: drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy in work zones, and expect schedules to depend on the weather. Orlando drivers heading for the Space Coast or the Volusia beaches this weekend should build the A1A daytime work into Saturday and Sunday trips, and anyone driving I-95 north from Brevard after 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday should expect the lane pattern to change night by night.
