I-4 Westbound Ramps at World Drive and S.R. 417 Close Overnight November 8 and 9, FDOT Program Says
Drivers heading west on I-4 from the Collector-Distributor Road and from S.R. 417 southbound will be detoured via World Drive on the nights of November 8 and 9, from midnight to 5 a.m., for ramp construction.

A pair of overnight ramp closures is coming to one of the busiest interchanges on Orlando's tourism corridor. The Florida Department of Transportation's Moving I-4 Forward program lists a closure of the Collector-Distributor Road to I-4 westbound at World Drive, and of S.R. 417 southbound to I-4 westbound, on Sunday night into Monday morning, November 8, and again on Monday night into Tuesday morning, November 9. The closures run overnight, from midnight to 5:00 a.m., for ramp construction.
The detour is short and stays on World Drive. For I-4 westbound from the Collector-Distributor Road and S.R. 417 southbound, drivers exit at World Drive northbound toward Disney World, continue on World Drive northbound for approximately 0.75 miles, and make a U-turn to begin traveling on World Drive southbound, then take the exit to I-4 West toward Tampa.
The work sits at Exit 62, the interchange that funnels Disney-area and S.R. 417 traffic onto I-4 — a route Orlando drivers use for the airport corridor, the attractions and the run west toward Tampa. Because the windows are in the overnight hours, most daytime traffic will not see them, but late-night and early-shift drivers on those two nights should build the World Drive loop into their trip. Construction schedules on the corridor can change with weather and other conditions, and the program site carries the listing as it is updated.
