John Washington III Says a Corrupt System Needs to Be Exposed, Not Gatekept
John Washington III is asking who decides which candidates get the cameras, the money and the endorsements — and calling that gatekeeping, not democracy.

Presidential candidate John Washington III is calling for what he described as a corrupt political system to be exposed, asking who decides which candidates are put in front of the cameras and who receives the money, the endorsements and the publicity. In his post, he wrote that independent voices are pushed out while their ideas are taken, asking why those voices are not stood behind while their ideas are handed, in his words, to "their chosen puppets on a string."
"That's not democracy, that's gatekeeping," John Washington III wrote. He said the pattern — refusing to stand behind independent voices while reusing what they produce — is the part of the system he wants voters to see plainly, and he framed his candidacy as an attempt to break that filter rather than work through it.
John Washington III called for change that is, in his words, "peaceful, constitutional change, to build a new government that actually works for the people." He cited the Declaration of Independence, which he noted says that when a government becomes destructive of the people's rights, the people can alter or abolish it, and he closed with an appeal to build together: a system, as he put it, that serves the people, not the powerful.
